The new Honda Feed shares its platform with the Honda Jazz/Fit and is capable of carrying up to 8 people. Since the Honda Fit will be made in Brazil, Honda is expected to use the Freed to expand its market in the country. Knowing that the Chevrolet Zafira that carries 7 people is the only other minivan in Brazil, should give the plan a further boost.
If priced properly, the Freed would be a great minivan option. The car shares its 1.5-litre VTEC engine with the Fit, is 4.22 m long, 1.72 m tall and 1.70 m wide and has a long wheelbase of 2.74 m. The Japanese version of the car is designed to carry 5, 7 or 8 people. The luggage space increases as the people carrying capacity decreases. In Brazil, the car would certainly be offered in its 7 or 8 seater version.
